Reviews are your best-converting ad
Before a homeowner picks up the phone, they read what your past customers say. Reviews are the most persuasive thing you own, and most builders under-use them.
Why reviews work
Hiring a builder is a big, risky decision. A page of recent, specific reviews answers the question every visitor is asking: can I trust these people with my home?
Ask at the right moment
The best time to ask is at handover, when the customer is happy with the result. Send a short message with a direct link to your review page so it takes them thirty seconds. Ask every customer, every time.
Respond to all of them
Reply to every review, good or bad. A calm, professional reply to a tough review often does more for your reputation than another five stars.
Put them to work
- Show your best reviews beside the quote button on your website.
- Use review quotes in your ads, with the suburb and type of project.
- Include your star rating in your Google profile and your emails.
Keep it honest
Never write fake reviews or pay for good ones. It breaks the platforms’ rules and can breach Australian consumer law on misleading conduct. A steady stream of genuine reviews beats anything you can manufacture.
